A Warmer, Healthier, Cheaper Home
With ever increasing energy prices it’s widely recognised that thicker insulation brings significant improvements to the energy efficiency of homes.
You can easily check if your home is up to the latest regulations by measuring the distance from the top of your insulation to the ceiling material below. Or simply contact us for your free no obligation survey.
If you currently have no insulation at all in your loft and install the recommended 270mm depth you could save up to £180 a year on your heating bills and around 730kg of CO2 per year*

Insulation Installation
In most properties we’ll almost invariably see some level of insulation. Unfortunately in many older properties this can be as little as 25mm of rather dust caked, very poor material. In these cases its usually best to leave the old insulation in situ so as not to disturb the fibres and dust and make your home uncomfortable.
We would then install a 100mm deep base layer of insulation that fits between your joists before moving onto the top layer. In buildings constructed since 1985 there is usually enough insulation present to act as an efficient base layer already.
To get to the desired depth of 270mm we then install a top layer of 170mm insulation laid in the opposite direction to the bottom layer in order to eliminate any cold joints.
